FLORA TUIN (FT) | FLORA HUIS (FH) | FLORA AUTONOOM (FA)

The library is divided into three main themes: FLORA TUIN, FLORA AUTONOOM, and FLORA HUIS. The main themes are then subdivided into sub-themes. Each book has its own code that refers to the theme plus category number, then the first four letters of the author's surname, and finally the year of publication. For example:

FT 1 BLOO 1990

Theme is FLORA TUIN (FT) > sub-theme (1) is ENCYCLOPEDIE > the writer (BLOO) is BLOOM > year of publication is 1990.
