This concept is a short summary of the original plan as submitted for 'Open Call On Campus Minerva Academy', Mondriaan Fund, Amsterdam. The 'Open Call On Campus Academie Minerva' was canceled on March 20, 2020 due to Covid-19 outbreak.
Ultra-high-definition television
Book XL is in line with an ongoing artistic research into the digitization of reality and how this affects our perception of life. To this end, a live feed of a detail of the roof garden can be viewed 24/7 at a central location in the academy building. The courtyard is presented live on a large Ultra high-definition television. A hyper-reality of the outside world where one could see the courtyard as a movie set.
