Rhizomebook

It took you a long time to create this book, why is that?

I did not want to display only the wrapping.

Did you succeed?

No.

Am I now only looking at the wrapping?

Yes, but doesn’t that apply to everything?

How else can we open things?

No idea.

But wouldn’t you like to wrap something?

Yes.

Why?

Why does the sun shine, and why do I see it set?

Because it is burning and because we orbit around it.

Could it be any different?

No, could you be different?

Yes, but ultimately everything revolves around the same thing.

Your books too?

Yes.

How do they arise?

By omitting a great deal, an excess conceals the little that generates the real image.

Too much of what?

Just too much.

What is your work about?

About what you see.

About what I see?

That is up to you.

That’s easy.

Maybe, but your words borrow words.

That you don’t give.

But display.

I can’t read them.

The only thing you read is your vision.

What do you read?

The same as you, I too depict, denominate and destroy.

I see nothing in your work that indicates this.

You think in terms of obligation, as if something has obligations, it wishes to have no obligations.

But in saying that, you can depict everything.

Yes.

Without restriction?

Yes.

And the wrapping that you mentioned earlier?

I fear it.

Why?

It is too tempting.
