Book XXXII was an unpaid commission for Tubelight magazine (NL). In Tubelight, which publishes critical reviews of presentations in contemporary art, the name Jan van der Til is placed as brand on the centerfold of the magazine with the logo of the Mondriaan Fund as 'trademark' or 'copyright' symbol as closing.
The characters 'JAN VAN DER TIL' are designed in the same font as the logo of the Mondriaan Fund. The Mondriaan Fund is a publicly financed fund for visual art and cultural heritage. It supports innovative projects and activities by visual artists, intermediaries (curators and critics), museums and other heritage organizations, art institutions, archives, galleries and commissioning parties.
Jan van der Til was awarded with a Stipendium for Established Artists from the Mondriaan Fund in 2017. The grant is meant to enable artists to create new work and to experiment. The aim is to promote the artist’s oeuvre, cultural entrepreneurship and profile, which will hopefully result in the creation of work that can make a meaningful contribution to Dutch contemporary visual art.
